Department of English

Department of English was established in 1963. The department has 03 faculty members trained in English language. The department of English is committed for all-round development of the students. The aim of the department is to create confidence among the students. The department has been striving hard to impart English language skills to a large section of under privileged learners from rural area. Department of English consists of under- graduate courses.

The department strives to develop communication skills of the students in Arts, Commerce and Science streams. The faculty of the department believes in commitment to teaching and research. The department complements classroom teaching with a multi-faceted methodology. The department has a Language Laboratory as well. The faculty members use modern teaching- aids including PPT, online Apps for effective Teaching. The faculty members participate in co-curricular, extra-curricular and social activities.

As of now, the department has organized various workshops, guest lectures. During the pandemic period, faculty members have adapted online teaching- learning process. The department has organized National E-Conference on “New Trends in ICT, Film, Literature & Culture”.
